Moving within Slovak republic

- cancellation is not necessary, the bureau, where you are signing up for new permanent residence will contact the
   old one and cancel it

Moving abroad

- cancellation is necessary if you´re planning to stay there
  forever
- submit your identity card at representative office or district directorate of police force, passport will be your new
  identity card

You can arrange this process personally in the bureau („Ohlasovňa pobytu“) or electronically. In both cases you´ll fulfill reporting notice.

Submission of the proposal of permanent residence cancellation

Owner´s proposal or proposal of all co-owners

Permanent residence can be cancelled to a citizen if:
- citizen does not have no right of use to the building/its part
- was issued lawful decision of the court about cancellation/restriction of right of use

Proposal can´t be submitted to: owner, co-owner (their husband/wife and dependent child), citizen with material burden of lifetime use of property.
