Product rules and requirements
In order for a product to be marketed in the European Union, including the Slovak Republic, it must be safe. This means that it must comply with all applicable rules (requirements). The rules can be harmonised (i.e. the same in all EU countries) or non-harmonised (i.e. no EU legislation applies to specific products, or EU legislation applies only to certain aspects of products, and individual EU countries may apply their own specifications/rules, which may differ from one country to another).
Information on rules and requirements on products can be found on the website of the Slovak Office of Standards, Meteorology and Testing.
