1. Application for connection
The application should be submitted with attachments that need to be prepared in advance. The attachments do not need to be authenticated; it is sufficient to provide data from publicly available sources, such as online sources. Gas consumers share the payment of eligible costs of the distribution system operator associated with the connection of an offtake point to the distribution system.
If you are a property owner, attach to the application:
- a copy of the title to property or of other document proving the relationship to the property (i.e. purchase agreement, donation agreement, application for registration of the right of ownership in the land register with the stamp of the relevant land registry administration, etc.);
- a copy of the cadastral map.
If you are not a property owner, attach to the application:
- the consent of the owner, joint owner or property administrator for applicants applying on their own behalf;
- the power of attorney of the owner for applicants applying on behalf of the owner.

Filing an application for connection

For breaching the rules applicable to connecting to the distribution system, the following sanctions apply:
SPP – distribúcia, a. s. will stop processing the application. The customer is informed of this fact by a letter or email.
- Failure to produce a signed agreement within the set deadline
The draft agreement will expire. To get connected, the applicant will have to submit a new application and pay the applicable fee. SPP – distribúcia, a.s. will return only a part of the paid fee.
- Failure to apply for the installation of a meter during the period of validity of the agreement
The agreement will terminate when the period of its validity expires. To get connected, the applicant will have to submit a new application and pay the applicable fee. Upon the applicant's request, SPP – distribúcia, a. s. will return only a part of the paid fee. The validity of the agreement may be extended by 12 months based on an amendment to the agreement.
