The service enables an employee or a self-employed person (SZČO) pursuing gainful activity exclusively in the territory of the Slovak Republic to request the issuance of a portable document A1 (PD A1). On the grounds that he or she needs PD A1 to be exempted from the social security system of another EU Member State (including the territories of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom). And while participation in the social security system of another EU Member State did not occur or does not apply to the employee or a self-employed person due to his or her gainful activity (e.g., existence of social security due to residence, etc.).
