Charged sections

Charged sections are only motorways (D1, D2, D3 and D4) and expressways (R1, R2, R4, R6 and R7).

Charged vehicles

Drivers of two-track vehicles (or sets) up to 3.5 tonnes, drivers of vehicles of category M1 and drivers of sets of categories M1, N1, M1G and N1G are obliged to buy a vignette for these sections. If you travel with the trailer and the total weight is up to 3.5 tonnes, you need only one vignette which applies to both the vehicle and the trailer. If the weight exceeds 3,5 tonnes the trailer has to have its own vignette.

Selling points

You may buy the electronic vignette at Slovak borders. There are selected shops but also vending machines or filling stations where you may buy electronic vignette. If you wish to buy it online, you may do so at the web page eznamka.sk.

Data to provide

When you are buying the vignette you have to provide: registration number of the vehicle, country where the vehicle was registered and validity.

Types of vignettes and pricing

You may buy three types of vignettes with different validity. There are vignettes for 10 days, 30 days and 1 year.

From February 2020, it is possible to buy two types of annual motorway stamps - the original, valid from the date of purchase until 31 January of the following year, or the new type which is valid for exactly one year for 365 days from the date of purchase.

Electronic toll

System of electronic toll applies only for transport over 3,5 t. This system is based on the distance that vehicle passed on charged sections of the Slovak roads.

Are you going to inform/notify me in any way of the upcoming expiry of validity of Electronic Vignette payment?

The customer is going to be informed about the upcoming expiry of the Electronic Vignette payment 3 days before the end of validity if the customer provided at least one of the contact details (e-mail, telephone number) upon payment. The contact details entered upon Electronic Vignette purchase (e-mail, telephone number) will be used to send an e-mail message/SMS with the information about the upcoming expiry of validity of Electronic Vignette payment.

In what form do I need to enter the LPN when paying for Electronic Vignette?

Upon Electronic Vignette payment, the LPN needs to be entered without spaces and hyphens. In case of bulk purchase, individual LPNs need to be separated by a comma, a space or a new line, while the maximum number of LPNs that can be entered is 500.

How and where can I find the mobile application and which devices can use it?

The mobile application called "eznamka" is available for mobile phones/devices and tablets with the operating systems iOS 6.0 and higher (in Apple App Store) and Android 2.3.3 and higher (in Google Play Store). The easiest way to find it on a mobile device is to open the relevant store and enter the word "eznamka" in the search field.
