Change in trading

Entrepreneurs are obliged to notify changes and amendments of data or documentation indicated in the notification of a trade to the competent Trade Licensing Office within 15 days of their occurrence.

Changes of data that is

  • featured in the trade authorisation
  • shall be entered in the Trade Register.

A notification of changes shall be submitted in person at the Trade Licensing Office (PSC) or electronically.

  • is subject to a fee of EUR 3.

  • is for free.

The form and attachments to the notification have to be signed with a qualified electronic signature. No fee applies to an electronic filing signed with an electronic signature.

  • documents proving the notified information.

The PSC shall notify amendments of information featured in the trade authorisation to the respective authorities (Financial Administration – the Tax Office, health insurance company and Social Insurance Agency).

Suspension of trading

The notification of suspension of trading may apply to:

  • all lines of business indicated in the trade authorisation (suspension of all activities of the entrepreneur),
  • only to selected lines of business registered in the trade authorisation.

The entrepreneur informs the Trade Licensing Office of the suspension of operation of trade for the specified period. An entrepreneur shall specify the start and end date of the requested suspension of trading. The suspension of a trade authorisation takes effect on the day following the day of the receipt of the notification of suspension of trading at the Trade Licensing Office, or as of a later date specified in the notification, if any.

After the suspension of the operation of the trade, the entrepreneur acquires a trade license upon expiry of period of suspension of operation of the trade or on the date specified in the notice of change in the period of suspension of the operation of the trade.

A notice of suspension of the operation of a trade shall be submitted in person at the Trade Licensing Office (PSC) or electronically.

The form and attachments to the notification have to be signed with a qualified electronic signature. Electronic filing signed with an electronic signature is subject to a fee of EUR 2.

Suspension of trading activities shall be notified to the PSC and competent authorities (the Financial Administration – the Tax Office, health insurance company and the Social Insurance Agency).
