When you are sure that your car has been stolen you have to report it in the Police station.

Where to report the theft?

If your car has been stolen you have to go immediately to the nearest Police station where you report the theft. You have to provide all necessary information to the officer so he/she can begin with the process of investigation.

Report to insurance company

Police officer will give you certificate that you have to give to your insurance company. Depending on the duration, result of the investigation and your contract you will be given compensation.

At the insurance company you have to hand in:

  • all the keys,
  • documents about protection of the vehicle,
  • registration certificate,
  • documents about the ownership,
  • certificate from the Police,
  • vehicle repair documents and service book,
  • other.

It is best to report the theft of the vehicle immediately.

How long will it take for the case to close?
Each case is individual and therefore it is not possible to say exactly when the investigation will be closed.
